This being my first blog post, I feel the need to explain why I have begun such an endevour. The Lord has always laid a huge burden on my heart for the next generation, whether they be children, teens, or young adults like myself. For sometime now I have thought about possibly starting a blog for teens and young adults. As I began setting it up I had to come up with a name, and this verse from Psalm 71:18 came to mind. Recently my mother went on ahead of me to Heaven, and following her homegoing I found this verse written in her journal, along with the note, "My prayers for this journey." You may ask, "what journey was she speaking of?" When this was written she had recently found out that she had cancer, and her desire was to glorify and proclaim God to all, and especially to her family, children and grandchildren.
My desire is the same. Until my last breath, my last heartbeat on this earth, I want to declare my God to this generation, and everyone I come into contact with. You see, just like my mother, we are all on a journey. And on this journey, until we reach our destination, we are to show God's strength and power unto this generation, and everyone that is to come! The purpose of this blog is to encourage teens and young adults, the generation to come, to serve the Lord and live for Him, for all their days!
So I would like to proclaim unto you - my God is GOOD! He is a great Savior! He has so richly blessed me. He is worthy to be praised. He is worthy to be served! Serve Him today! Declare His name to someone today!
