"Noah Walked With God"
"But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God."
Genesis 6:8, 9
Wickedness, immoral living, and men doing what they think is right fill the headlines. Scoffers berating the righteous for doing right is a normal occurrence. That's all we seem to hear about isn't it? Well, it's true for today, but I was actually describing Noah's day! In Genesis 6:5 it describes man in this manner, "every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually." And in spite of all this, "Noah walked with God."
When people tell you how bad it is today, and that it is impossible to live for God in these terrible days, refer them to ol' Noah. Even in a day when no one, and I mean NO ONE else stood for righteousness and God, Noah did. In a generation described as wicked and evil, Noah was described as just and perfect. In a time period when immoral living was at an all time high I'm sure, and scoffers reigned supreme, Noah walked with God.
You may echo Elijah, and think you may be the only human being in this world that has not bowed the knee to humanism, homosexuality, and all that the evil the world sells, but Noah and his family were the only ones, and yet he walked with God.
We CAN walk with God in a day that has the most pro-abortion president ever. We CAN walk with God in a day that has sexual perversion on every TV commercial. We CAN walk with God when anything moral is made a joke about.
Let's be like Noah! When no one else prays for our nation, let's pray! When no one else opens their Bible, let's do it! When no one else attends church, let's go! When no one else tells about Jesus who can save from sins, let's proclaim Him!
Let's be like Noah!
